Kyle Kaczmarick

Influenced by the rock bands he had grown up listening to, Kyle Kaczmarick began playing the guitar at the age of 12. At 14, he began practicing classical guitar in the guitar program at Bellaire High School, working with renowned Houston-area guitarists Mark Moore and Edward Grigassy. There, he took multiple pieces to UIL competitions, reaching the state competitions in Austin his senior year. After his classical training, he ventured into learning on his own, picking up and working with multiple styles including jazz, acoustic fingerstyle, rock, folk and many others. He has been teaching guitar since 2007.

Kyle is a graduate of University of North Texas, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Film. In recent years, he has played all over Houston, at restaurants, birthday parties, lounges, and open mics. He has also been a volunteer at Houston Methodist in the medical center, participating in music therapy, playing for patients and their families.

After many successful years of teaching music lessons throughout the Houston area, Kyle was accepted to graduate school in sunny Boulder, Colorado, where he is now furthering his education at Colorado University.

Kyle caters his lessons to the individual. His goal is to help his students reach their own goals with the guitar. He teaches not only techniques in guitar playing but also in song-writing, critical listening, and improvisation. Encouraging the use of imagination while playing, he helps his students develop their own style of playing.
