Montana has spent the last five years of her career teaching and directing at the high school level. Under her direction, students went on to be nominated for best musical in the DC area five consecutive years and performed at the Kennedy Center. They have gone on to pursue countless degrees in theatre and music at prestigious programs across the country. Most recently, Montana was recognized by the Loudoun Business Journal in the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Loudoun County for her impact as a musical theatre teacher. She also led the effort in Loudoun County Public Schools to create a performing arts magnet program which is currently being implemented. Performance highlights include the Kennedy Center, the Lincoln Center, Signature Theatre, and various theatres in the DC metropolitan area.

Since relocating to Colorado, Montana is the new theatre and choir teacher at Evergreen Middle School and also teaches musical theatre in the community. As a voice teacher, Montana specializes in the musical theatre and contemporary genre. She most enjoys helping students find and develop their own specific sound as well as working on in depth character development and audition preparation.
