Anne FitzJames has taught piano to students of all ages for more than 25 years, and loves sharing her passion for music with others. In order to give students a well-rounded musical education and equip them to reach any musical goals they may have for themselves, Anne believes in establishing, then building upon, a solid foundation in the basics. She also customizes her lessons to best fit each individual student, and works hard to find music that is appealing to the student, ensuring an engaging and effective lesson environment.
Anne has studied with graduates of Julliard, Eastman School of Music, Manhattan School of Music and Moscow Conservatory. For six years, she played with a cantor at Holy Ghost Church in downtown Denver. Each month, she plays piano at ten assisted-living facilities around the Denver metro area, performing with a flutist with whom she has played for fourteen years. Anne's profile photo was taken at a church in Castle Rock, after a performance of the Beethoven Triple Concerto with an orchestra and the other members of her trio.
Anne recently expanded her musical horizons by beginning lessons in cello and viola, and relishes this opportunity to better identify with the perspective of her students. She currently offers private piano lessons to students of a variety of ages and skill levels.
