Liam Dooley is an operatic baritone and music teacher from Eagle River, Alaska. He started playing music at 10 years old, taking guitar lessons and playing percussion in his middle school's concert and jazz bands. In 2013, he started taking his first singing lessons, which blossomed into a lifelong career in the performing arts. At age 14, he also began taking piano lessons with his voice instructor. He performed in his first operas at 16, performing chorus roles with the Anchorage Opera's productions of Rigoletto and Don Pasquale. Also, during this time, he performed several lead roles in his high school musicals, including Lancelot in Camelot and Albert in Bye Bye Birdie. He won 1st place command performance for the classical voice conference in Allstate Solo & Ensemble and performed in All-State Mixed Choir four years in a row.

In college, Liam first attended Holland College School of the Performing Arts in Prince Edward Island, Canada, in accordance with the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. He started teaching music lessons there to aspiring singers and pianists while studying commercial music and jazz and performing in local jazz clubs and coffee houses. He then transferred to the University of Colorado, Denver, for their Music Entertainment Industry Studies program, where he studied music business and music technology in hopes of rounding out his knowledge as a musician. Studying contemporary music was fulfilling, but Liam yearned to dive back into classical voice & opera. From there, he transferred to the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver, where he studied classical voice & opera for three years, orchestrating two major recitals and performing in 5 operas. In the 2021 - 2022 season at Lamont, Liam performed the role of Schaunard in Lamont's Fall Opera Gala performance of two acts from La Boheme. He was also selected to play the roles of L'horloge Comtoise and Le Chat in the Lamont Opera Theatre’s productions of L’enfant et les sortilèges and was a cover for Presto in the production of Les Mamelles de Tirésias. In the 2022-2023 season, Liam was selected to play the role of The Pilot in Lamont's Spring 2023 production of Rachel Portman's The Little Prince. In the 2023-2024 season, Liam played the role of Demetrius in Lamont's production of Midsummer Night's Dream by Benjamin Britten.

Currently, Liam works as a musician and music teacher in Denver, Colorado. He works with local opera companies, such as Central City Opera, as a traveling performer for operatic mental health programming for teenagers. He also puts on small operas for children through their education department. Liam also works as a chorus member for opera productions put on by Opera Colorado. Liam is a music teacher who specializes in working with aspiring vocalists, pianists, guitar players, and concert percussionists, looking to share his knowledge with the next generation of musicians
