Dan Goett is a passionate and experienced music instructor with over 20 years of teaching experience. His musical journey began at age 11 when he received a 1968 Gibson SG Jr. guitar- a family heirloom passed down through generations. This gift sparked a lifelong dedication to music, and Dan quickly immersed himself in both classical guitar and popular music genres.

Dan earned a degree in Music Business from Southern Illinois University, focusing on classical guitar. His formal education provided him with a strong foundation in music theory, composition, aural skills, and ensemble performance, which continues to inform his teaching approach today.

In 2004, while still in university, Dan began teaching private lessons at local music stores and from his home. Over the years, he has worked with students of all ages and skill levels, offering instruction in a wide range of genres, including Blues, Rock, Country, Bluegrass, Gypsy Jazz, and Classical. His versatility as a performer and educator was further honed through years of performing across the United States, including prestigious venues like The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

A resident of the Denver area, Dan has also developed proficiency in multiple stringed instruments such as mandolin, banjo, and ukulele. This diverse skill set allows him to connect with a broad spectrum of students and musical styles.

Dan's teaching philosophy centers on patience, clear communication, and fostering a positive, supportive learning environment. With his wealth of experience and passion for music, he is eager to help aspiring musicians of all ages unlock their potential.
