Levi Thompson discovered his passion for the piano at six and has relentlessly pursued music ever since. His musical journey led him to Colorado Christian University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Music Composition.
Throughout his childhood, Levi dedicated himself to piano lessons, fostering a love for writing music at an early age. His enthusiasm for performance blossomed in high school when he participated in musical theatre. This passion followed him into his college years, where he furthered his studies in Musical Theatre at Fullerton College. During this time, Levi and his friends began developing a full-length musical, eventually becoming the centerpiece of his Senior Composition Recital at CCU.
At college, Levi's primary instrument was the piano, and he studied under the guidance of Dr. Irina Moreland. However, his musical interests are diverse. Over the years, he has mastered several instruments, including the guitar, saxophone, clarinet, flute, banjo, mandolin, and most recently, the bassoon. His involvement in the university's wind band saw him playing alto and bari sax, and he continues to contribute as a bassoonist in the community band. His talent and dedication earned him the Barbara Hodell Award for Superior Performance during his junior year and the Outstanding Senior Award in the School of Music the following year.
Levi continues to nurture his passion for music, piano, theatre, and composition. He shares his love for music through teaching lessons, music directing shows across Denver, and composing whenever possible. His experience in childcare and teaching enhances his ability to connect with and inspire his students, spreading the joy of music to all.
