Briay Conditt is an accomplished teacher, performer, and composer. She performs regularly with various ensembles in Colorado including the Pueblo Symphony Orchestra where she holds the second horn position, Nebula New Music Ensemble, Denver Pops Orchestra, various chamber orchestras, and several ensembles associated with Lamont. Her compositional works have been selected for presentation internationally in Europe and the United States. She graduated with her Masters from the Lamont School of Music with concentration in both performance and composition. Briay completed her horn performance studies with Susan McCullough and her composition studies with Dr. Chris Malloy, Dr. Leanna Kirchoff, and William Hill. During her studies at Lamont, she served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Music Theory and Aural Skills under the direction of Dr. Kristin Taavola, which excited her love for pedagogy. As a Colorado native, she finds inspiration in nature and enjoys composing outside.
